It has been widely considered a very surprising move by the Foxes, given the impeccable form of first choice shot-stopper Kasper Schmeichel last season.
However, perhaps the signing is to provide Schmeichel with genuine competition for the number one shirt rather than simply replace the Dane.
Schmeichel is expected to sign a new five-year deal with a hefty pay rise at the King Power Stadium - putting an imminent exit further in doubt. As he didn't miss a single minute of the title-winning campaign, it is almost certain the Tinkerman has simply provided his trusty number one with some competition to keep him on his toes.
But what of the other goalkeepers at Leicester, don't they have what it takes to rival the Dane? Most likely, no.
