Captain America: Civil War Passes $1bn Worldwide at Box Office

Disney latest Action Blockbuster, Captain America: Civil War has passed $1 billion in worldwide sales after dominating the box office two weekends in a row. This a-z ultra-action movie aims to be the biggest movie of the year 2016.

According to Variety, Disney's latest Marvel flick now stands as the 25th movie to hit the milestone, reaching $314 million on Thursday (its 14th day of release in the United States) and $667 million on its 23rd day internationally.
Additionally, Disney has confirmed that Civil War is now its top-grossing movie of the year, standing alongside The Avengers, Iron Man 3 and Age of Ultron as the fourth MCU movie to surpass $1 billion globally, and the 10th Disney film to reach the milestone.

On top of that, Cap 3 has now pushed the entirety of Disney's MCU, which now spans 13 films, over $10 billion at the worldwide box office, with approximately $2.1 billion of those sales coming from the Captain America trilogy.
