London knife attack leaves 1 dead, 5 hurt in Russell Square rampage
A 19-year-old suspect was Tasered by police and arrested in the knife attack and remains under armed guard in hospital

A woman has died and five people are injured after a possible terror attack in London.

Police Tasered a man and took him into custody after the shocking incident in Russell Square at around 10.30pm on Wednesday night.

The Met say terrorism is one possible line of investigation.

Fernando, 40, a Brazilian living in London, phoned 999 after a family of Spanish tourists flagged him down on Russell Square.

He said the attacker was white, and was wearing shorts and a T-shirt as he ran down the street randomly stabbing people.

"The older lady was slumped against the railings. It looked like she had collapsed. I didn’t know she had been stabbed until the police arrived to give her first aid.

She had been stabbed in the back.

The Spanish family didn’t know what to do or who to call. They told the police the guy was just running along, stabbing anyone.

The police asked them if he said or shouted anything and they said he didn’t.

An English guy was stabbed in the side but he was calm. There was a girl stabbed in the arm and he was saying to the ambulance ‘I’m ok, make sure she is ok first.’

The other people didn’t say anything. I think they were all in shock."
