A paranormal investigator who became renowned for exploring ghostly phenomena has been found dead in mysterious circumstances. Gaurav Tiwari’s death is being investigated by police after he was discovered unconscious in his family bathroom last Thursday.
The 32-year-old, who had investigated more than 6,000 haunted locations, was discovered at his home in Delhi, India, after his parents and wife reported hearing a ‘loud thud’ from inside the room.
He was rushed to hospital, but doctors were unable to save him.
Authorities say that it’s believed he died from asphyxiation, but a preliminary post-mortem has reportedly stated that a mystery dark line was found around his throat.
Speaking to the Times of India, Mr Gaurav’s father Uday said that the family didn’t believe in ghosts, but explained how they have been left confused by the mysterious circumstances.
He said: ‘Gaurav told his wife a month ago that a negative force was pulling him towards it. He had said he was trying to control it but seemed unable to do so.
Mr Tiwari was the founder of the Indian Paranormal Society, and had been investigating paranormal occurrences since 2009, when he experience strange phenomena as he trained as a commercial pilot.
