X-Men: Apocalypse’ Dawns With $101.5M
The Latest X-Men: Apocalypse has passed the $100 million mark with a final $101.5M (down from yesterday’s estimated $103.3M) from 20,796 screens.

It is No. 1 in 76 markets, and is the biggest Fox debut weekend ever in six. It also marks the best X-Men opening ever in 33. At current exchange rates, the same suite of 76 markets delivered a $100M opening weekend for X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

UK box office leads overseas with $10.5M, followed by Mexico ($8.8M), Brazil ($6.1M), Russia ($6.27M), France ($6.2M), Philippines ($4.9M), India ($3.4M), Singapore ($2.79M), Thailand ($2.69M), Colombia ($1.88M), Mexico ($8.8M) and Malaysia ($2.87M). In Imax plays, XMA took $5M from 246 screens in 57 markets. (See breakdown below.)

North America opens next weekend on XMA with Korea going May 25, China on June 3 and Japan on August 11
