A 30-year-old father of two, Trumaine Walker was shot to death on Tuesday by a man with a rifle. Candles were held high on Wednesday night for the victim.

He was at home on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Pontiac when a man with an AR 15 rifle got out of a car, walked up to the house and began firing at him.

Fatally wounded, Walker ran out into the street and collapsed. He was rushed to McLaren Hospital Pontiac where he was pronounced dead.

His fiancé says Walker had not disclosed any kind of threat she said he was a hard working father of two young girls, ages 7 and 4.

"We are just taking it one day at a time," said Ashley Robinson, the victim's fiancée. "It doesn't make any sense. It doesn't make any sense at all.

"I can't believe that anyone would do something like that to him."
Just 18 hours after the murder at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the suspected shooter was taken into custody by Oakland County Sheriff  Detectives.
This suspected semi-automatic rifle believed used in the homicide was also recovered as well as a car that was used in the shooting.  The suspect is a  27-year-old man who is a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana.
