Islamic State Militants face a crushing and bloody defeat in their Iraqi stronghold of Falluja as government troops continue their devastating assault on the city.

ISIS is facing its biggest ever military battle with early signs the rag-tag group of twisted militia and fanatical Islamists is crumbling under the onslaught of Western-backed firepower.

But close to 4,000 desperate civilians have already fled the fighting, amid reports the jihadi organisation has been using innocent men, women and children as human shields.

Support for the barbaric terror regime has fallen to an all-time low as food, water and medical supplies begin to run dry in the so-called caliphate.

Swathes of Falluja have already fallen to Iraqi forces and hopes are growing as ISIS will be wiped from the city in a matter of days.

Three of Falluja's nine districts have already been retaken, two years since they fell to the twisted group.
