The outsatnding players who shocked football by winning the Premier League have been rewarded with a new £ 105, 000 BMW supercar each .
The fleet of 19 BMW i8 sports cars was delivered to Leicester City’s stadium after the club’s Thai owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha forked out £2million for them.
Most of the members of the titlewinning squad will get one, including striker Jamie Vardy and winger Riyad Mahrez.
The hybrid cars, which have a top speed of 160mph, were lined up outside the King Power stadium yesterday - all in Leicester City blue.
The motors come on top of a £6.5m bonus pot that has also been split between the squad.
A car was originally earmarked for each of the 23 Foxes who played for the first team last season.
However ace midfielder N’Golo Kante, who played a pivotal role in the team’s victory, will miss out after transferring to Chelsea for £30m.
Joe Dodoo, who went to Rangers, Andrej Kramaric, who moved to German team 1899 Hoffenheim and Yohan Benalouane, who is on loan to Italian club Fiorentina, were also left off the list.
The trio made only made a handful of substitute appearances between them.
Manager Claudio Ranieri, who led the team to victory despite being 5,000-1 outsiders, missed out too.
As he prepared his side for tomorrow’s Community Shield showdown with FA Cup winners Manchester United at Wembley,
he joked: “Not for me? I want to speak with my owner.”
But he added: “I am thinking about the match not about the cars.”
New signings such as Ahmed Musa, Papy Mendy and Luis Hernandez also missed out on the new gift as they could all make their debuts for the club at Wembley.
The Foxes begin the defence of their title next Saturday with an away trip to newly-promoted Hull City.
