A russian fighter jet has crashed near the capital Moscow killing its pilot.
The Sukhoi Su-27 fighter jet was returning to its base at the time and was not carrying weapons or ammunition.
Confirming the incident, Russia defence ministry added that the crash did not cause serious damage on the ground. The cause of the crash is not yet known.
